Prime Calendar vs Hearth Display

Hearth Display is a 27-inch touchscreen sold with a membership. That's a lot of screen, and with the hardware counted it's the most expensive option in this group. Prime Calendar runs on whatever you already have, up to 8 screens on the Family plan.

Where Prime Calendar makes more sense

You'd rather reuse a tablet or TV, or spread the family calendar over a few smaller screens. Chores, routines with streaks and a PIN-protected Kid Mode come with the plan, and the adults get a proper calendar with tasks and automation.

Setting up a screen

  1. Open app.primecal.eu/device in the browser of the screen you want to use. It shows a short code.
  2. On your phone, go to Screens, then Devices, then Pair a device, and type the code.
  3. Pick a layout and add what you want on it: the calendar, routine buttons, chore streaks.

Where Hearth is the better pick

You want one large screen, designed for the wall and sold by one company, and you're happy to pay for the hardware and the membership.

Do I need the Hearth membership?

Hearth's own pages disagree. The product page suggests you need it for setup, while the FAQ says the core features work without it. Ask them before you buy. We show the membership price in the table so you can count it in.

Start on Free with one screen. Family adds more screens and room for 5 people.
